Review a code change without opening your laptop.

Read the files. Check the diff. Decide what to keep—from your phone.

Review without your laptop: use Vibe Remote to read the changed files, check the Git diff, and verify the result in Terminal from your phone.

Start with what the agent says it changed.

Start with a paired, awake Mac and your agent installed and signed in. Example: the agent fixed checkout retries. Read its result on your phone.

Your request

Retry a temporary checkout failure.

Your next check

Find the retry code and tests.

Open the files behind the answer.

Inspect the retry code and its tests. Read the surrounding logic, not just the changed lines. File access follows your Mac’s permissions.

retry.ts

When does checkout try again?

retry.test.ts

Which failures do the tests cover?

Let the Git diff show what moved.

Compare each edit with the checkout task. Look for unrelated changes and missing failure cases.

A short review checklist
What mattersWhat to look for
ScopeOnly the files this fix needs
BehaviorRetries stop at the intended limit
CoverageTests include success and failure
SurprisesNo unrelated settings or secrets

Use the terminal for your own check.

Run these read-only Git checks inside your project. Then run your project’s documented tests and read the output.

git diff --stat

Commit the fix—or give it one more pass.

Stage, commit, and push only when intended. Otherwise, ask for a change or inspect further. Mac screen control requires its permissions.

Can I review Codex and Claude Code from the same phone?

Yes. Both agents share Vibe Remote’s mobile workspace with Mac files, Git, terminal, SSH, and screen control. Use the web app on your paired iPhone or Android phone.

What does my Mac need?

macOS 13 Ventura or newer, Vibe Remote, and your chosen agent installed and signed in. Apple silicon and Intel are supported. Keep the Mac powered, awake, and online.

Can I pick up a session I started in Terminal?

Use vibe-remote codex or vibe-remote claude for a managed session you can continue from Mac or phone. Continuing a standard codex or claude session through Vibe Remote creates a fork.

Is my code review encrypted?

Vibe Remote encrypts work content between your paired phone and Mac end to end. Your agent’s separate requests to its AI provider still follow that provider’s policies.
